Trail Sessions

Our goal is to ignite the community of mountain bike riders in the Gippsland region and beyond!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT RIDES

Trail sessions is a group of enthusiastic mountain bikers. The ride takes place at Rokeby, going up the crossover rail trail and into the scenic bush with flowing single track, biting hills and ripper downhills. Meeting at the top car park and riding till the sun sets. Every Wednsday night at 6pm, "weather permitting."

Group / Bunch Riding

Many cyclists leave the shop with their shiny new bike and don’t progress to riding with a group.

Group riding has many benefits:

  1. Safety in numbers (improved visibility).
  2. Higher average speeds.
  3. Challenged by riders of greater ability.
  4. The social side of riding with others.

We have an emphasis on group riding skills and etiquette, which we will teach to those new to cycling; riding in a small easy paced bunch. The ‘New’ Drouin Wheelers will ensure that nobody is left behind with regular stopping points along the way!

The ‘New’ Drouin Wheelers leaders place a high emphasis on new riders gaining the group riding skills and group riding etiquette to make riding in a group safe and enjoyable.

If you haven’t yet tried group riding and would like to give it a try, Contact Us for more information or feel free to swing by one Saturday morning and come for a roll!

At the conclusion of each Saturday ride, stick around for some great coffee at Jacksons on Albert and a chat with group members…
